Hi,
Hope the community can help out with an issue we are experiencing.
We are currently using a VM running FreePBX 16.0.40.7 ‘ITWORXFREEPBXv16’. This is connected to a GOIP4M2RMVS1902008 gsm gateway with four sims and a Grandstream - GXW410X PSTN Gateway. The issue that we have is that incoming and outgoing calls to GSM gateway are 100% and always working. In the last 6 months we have been having issues with the GSM gateway where incoming calls do not ring on PBX or if they do ring, we cannot hear the caller. The issue is intermittent, we can reboot the Grandstream in the morning when we arrive at work and it works for sometimes the whole day, other times works for 30 min, we are either required to reboot Freepbx or Grandstream and then incoming calls work on the GXW410X and we can hear and receive calls. There appears to be no set pattern to the issue and is very erratic.
The issue is very annoying as we are not aware of issue unless a caller complains that our incoming lines on the Grandstream PSTN are not working. I built system myself and has been working for 10+ years without issue. Despite this have exhausted all troubleshooting but seem unable to get PSTN gateway to remain consistent and always ring on PSTN with audible quality in a reliable way. IN addition, I factory reset the GXW410X gateway and setup again based on this guide. Configuring a Grandstream GXW-410X Device to act as an FXO Gateway - FreePBX Open Source - Sangoma Documentation (atlassian.net). Since factory reset the lines seem to ring in consistently on ring groups, however, still cannot hear caller. I have turned off firewall in FreePBX and just cannot work out what is causing the issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
