Can receive, but can't make calls on spa3102

I used to use these devices on freepbx about 10 years ago, so I just changed the ID and password in the “Line 1” settings. I have tried some different dial patterns in the event they were what was preventing things:
The dial plan that was on it ([2-79]11<:@gw0>|xx.|*xx.|**xx.|<#,:>xx.<:@gw0>|<#,:>*xx<:@gw0>)
A dial plan suggestion I found online: (*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)
I modified it as I think it didn’t include 10 digit dialing, and 3 digit extensions: (*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|xxx|xxxxxxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)
I am willing to entertain the possibility it is something else, but I don’t have the skills to even know where to look to provide what one may need to be able to assist me. So please, if you need a log or something, please tell me how to find it, and I will gladly post it.

logs?, (we always need logs)

Wonderful. So since you didn’t tell me what logs I need, I will have to guess. And I think I did guess correctly. Here are the Asterisk Log Files from dialing an extension, followed by a telephone number, followed by another extension:
In an attempt to post the log, it has told me I can’t post links… Lets try pastebin… And that won’t work either (Duh,its a link) So I will need to just give you the paste ID on pastebin.

If you have a batter way for me to post these logs here, I would be happy to do that instead.

Okay, so they have changed the setting on my account so I can now post the logs. It seems as though it can’t authenticate, however I have no idea how to resolve that. Here are the logs:

The SPA3102 has both a Line 1 (FXS) port (connects to an analog phone) and a PSTN (FXO) port that connects to a POTS line or similar.

In the first dial plan you posted, references to gw0 cause those patterns to go out on the PSTN port, without involving the PBX at all. At least for initial testing, you shouldn’t use them.

We should get the Line 1 stuff working first. You will be able to call internal functions such as *43 (echo test) and call to and from local extensions. If you have a SIP trunk you will also be able to make and receive external calls. Of course, if you want to use the PSTN port for external calls, we will debug that later.

On the SPA Info page, does Line 1 show as Registered? If not, confirm that you have created a pjsip extension, the number matches SPA’s User ID and the Secret matches SPA’s Password. You should have Proxy: 192.168.1.123:5678 (replace 192.168.1.123 with the local IP address of the PBX and 5678 with the value of Port to Listen On on the pjsip tab of Asterisk SIP Settings). Use Outbound Proxy should be no and Register should be yes. If still no luck registering, post the Asterisk log for the attempts.

If registration is ok, check on the Regional tab that *43 does not appear. You should then be able to dial *43 for the echo test. Once that’s working, try calling to and from other extensions. Paste the Asterisk log for the simplest thing that fails.

If all of the above is ok, but external calls fail, provide details, including the Asterisk log with pjsip logger turned on.

Yes, that first dial plan was from when I was using it before. There will be nothing connected to the FXO port. FreePBX does have a sip trunk coming in, and using soft phones I am able to dial between extensions, and dial out.
On the Info page, it shows line 1 as registered. I don’t have a SPA page.
Since it is registered, I dialed *43 and 400 (An extention I have set up)
*43 resulted in a re-order tone instantly. 400 resulted in a long delat (about 20 seconds) and a reorder tone. The dial plan currentl set on the device is:
(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)
These are the logs from those two dials:

Post a screenshot of the Line 1 page, in advanced mode.

Your current dial plan no longer has |xxx| so extension 400 didn’t match. Maybe temporarily set it to
([*x].) which will match anything, albeit with a 4 second delay (which you can bypass by pressing # after the number).

Also, check on the Regional tab that you don’t have any conflicting Vertical Service Activation Codes . It should be safe to set them all blank.

Dialing both extension 400, and *43 result in a re-order tone after about 3 seconds.

On the User 1 page, both Block CID Setting and DND Setting should be no.

If that’s not your issue, at the Asterisk command prompt, type
pjsip set logger on
and attempt calling *43 and 400 again; post or paste the resulting logs.
Also, report whether 400 can call 101.

That seems to have solved it. Thank you.
