Can PSTN (landline calls) be answered to a wifi handset

I wish to achieve a setup which I can make and receive calls, which come to my landline phone - on my cellular phone.

I am adding a link below - I hope this is not against the forum rules - if it is - i apologies…

::PLEASE SEE LINK BELOW: I HAVE MADE A DESIGN WHICH I WANT TO IMPLEMENT::

Just run a SIP client on your phone like 3CX, it’s free and works great.

You will also need an interface card to connect the PSTN line to the server.

Can i achieve what i wish to by using freepbx…i am a n00b - new to this subject - if i can find a guide nothing like it… please help and oblige

can i not use a voice modem ?? i am on a super tight budget

The 3CX client is free and connects to the FreePBX server.

No you can’t use a voice modem.

You can find very inexpensive FXO gateways on eBay for under $50.
