Calls drop as soon as it's answered

Hello!

A friend is experiencing a problem with his Asterisk.

The problem is that the calls drop as soon as they are answered. In the log, it shows something like this:

{internal extension} joined basic bridge
{external number} joined basic bridge
{internal extension} left basic bridge

I believe this is why the calls are being dropped, but I have no clue what’s causing it. It’s always the internal extension that leaves the bridge regardless of whether the call is incoming or outgoing.

Any clue as to what might be causing this?

The machine has FreePBX 14, Asterisk 13. A SIP trunk is set up to handle both incoming and outgoing calls. There’s no NAT. Let me know if I need to provide more information.
