Hi, my company recently switched to a new answering service, and the ring group I made to dial their number does not keep the customers caller ID and shows up as ours. I have a # after the number and as far as I am aware this is supposed to preserve the original caller ID. Has anyone run into anything like this? or am I missing something?
Does the provider allow you to present an arbitrary caller ID. More and more are not allowing this, or you have to go through hoops to achieve it (to preserve the original STIR/SHAKEN status).
