Business Call Information

Hello. We need to accomplish the following configuration:
We have FreePBX, and calls from our extensions go through FreePBX to a GSM gateway and then to our clients. We need the client’s mobile phone to display that the call is from our company.
What is this function called, and how can we set it up?

The caller ID for GSM (and its current replacements) is determined by the SIM interacting with the HLR, in the network. I don’t believe there is any way to set a caller ID other than that for the SIM, or none. Mobile networks weren’t designed to be used behind PABXes.

(SIM sends IMSI to the HLR, which then determines the phone number associated with that SIM.)

If circumstances force the use of the mobile air interface, I think the only way, if permitted in you country, would be to use VoIP over a mobile data connection.

I suppose you could ask the mobile operator if they would be prepared to present a different number for the SIM, but it may well be that the HLR only has one field for the presentation number and the number to be matched to incoming calls destined to the device with that IMSI.
