Assistance still requested, I believe I know what with now;
I might still be wondering on how to make it so my Polycom phone can be monitored and show off-hook status when going off-hook, instead of when a call is placed. My 7965 seems to do roughly the same thing vice versa, and with the CIPC, do I need the phone monitored by a different physical endpoint (such as my 7941), or is that some deeper underlying issue?
Having a hard time remembering what all I needed my system to do, as I’m quite scatterbrained, to be honest
I’d like to thank SRP for, what feels like, destroying one of my phones… The power got cut a few times earlier today, and now my 7941 refuses to provision, same config file that’s worked forever, same text in the exact same spots, same entries, same EVERYTHING, but NOW it just REFUSES to work, and I’ve tried EVERYTHING under the sun apart from a factory default (As that would be counter-intuitive and not at all productive anyway)… I’ve sifted through every end of Google and have had ZERO results that worked… My phone says “Unprovisioned”, and complains that there’s SOMEHOW an error in my config info, ran it through an XML checker, came back with ZERO errors… So how does the ONE config file with the ONE setup that’s worked FOREVER since putting the phone into service… STOP WORKING?
Agitation levels are SEVERELY elevated, I’m afraid…
That gremlin got solved; guess my config file got corrupted and I reverted to an older revision of it, Gemini posed the possibility of the file being corrupted…
