For the line “Visual BLF improvements”, are there specifics to this? Specifically, using FreePBX and P series phones, I’d like more options to how BLF colors are presented. Example: A ring group is called and one member is already on the phone. Another member of the ring group has the BLF of the 1st user that’s already on a call, but user 2 isn’t able to distinguish that their already on the phone. I’m just looking for a different visual indicator that they are on the phone, like a long ref flash for the one on the phone, while anyone off the phone is a fast blink, as an example.
Improved BLF to allow viewing Caller ID on another phone via BLF
This is for the initial implementation of a requested “Visual BLF” feature i.e. remote caller info for a local Favorite/BLF. For example, Alice has a BLF item for Bob. When Charlie calls Bob, Alice could see that caller info i.e. she can see that it’s Charlie calling Bob so that she can choose whether, or not, to remote pickup Bob’s call. This uses Dialog-Info inside a Presence indication sent from Asterisk.
Your feature request: Alice would like to know the difference between Bob’s phone is ringing vs. Bob’s phone is ringing AND in a connected call. This would require changes in the Asterisk utilizes the aforementioned Dialog-Info to allow for the multiple pieces of data – not entirely a phone issue. … and not something the phone can distinguish on its own.
