Blacklistloser module will not install

I’ve downloaded the blacklistloser.tar.gz module and uploaded to /var/www/html/admin/modules/blacklistloser

The module appears in the Admin/Module Admin list and in not yet installed so I clicked on the Install button but nothing happens. No error messages appear and the module is never installed.
