Blacklist doesn't recognize CallerID Name

If I recall correctly, in earlier versions of FreePBX, I could enter the text of the CID name instead of the CID number, e.g. “NASTYCORP” (there is one particular caller who constantly spoofs numbers). However, that no longer seems to work (FreePBX version 15.0.17.43). The only change from my earlier version installation was I changed the extension in question from chan_sip to pjsip. I don’t see why that would make any difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Note: I’m not a pro at this. This is a home PBX that I’ve had for the last 10 years or so.

Thanks!

Probably CID Superfecta? Because that should not work in Blacklist.

What you’re looking for was not a core feature of the Blacklist module, but an extended feature of a 3rd party module called Swiss Army Knife (SAK). You might find an old copy of it floating around, but I would not expect it to work on a 15 system.

edit : Using Dynamic Routes as an extended blocklist

It is in the POSSA Repos but as mentioned has not been touched in 10 years…

Thanks! I think that will do the trick.

Got my first annoyance call today. The Dynamic Routing module handled it like a champ. Thanks!
