Hi all,
Running a FreePBX 17.0.19.21/Asterisk 22.1.0 server on a Raspberry Pi.
I restored a backup (from version 13 maybe) to this box a couple weeks ago and there have been some strange things going on. I’d like to track down this issue and see if it explains any of the other issues.
Most recently, I’m having trouble with outbound caller ID. There is a caller ID set at the trunk level if the extension does not specify it’s own caller ID.
On some of my extensions, the caller ID set at the extension level does not get used. The trunk default is used instead.
I noticed that if I enter the extension config screen for a particular extension, change nothing, click submit and Apply Config, the correct extension caller id starts working for that extension.
Is it possible part of my restored config isn’t applied correctly? I still have 2-3 extensions that do not use the caller ID that I have not updated if there is something I need to compare.
Not sure if it’s relevant (and not trying to solve in this thread unless they are the same issue), but some of the other issues were:
- All of my extensions (of one particular phone model) lost registration. They could make outbound calls, but no inbound calls would come through (extension to extension or from the SIP trunk).
- This morning I noted that none of my inbound routes worked. Calls were all routed to Congestion. Submitting (and changing nothing), and applying config on the inbound routes fixed this.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
