Backup Log File Not Created

I have had my FreePBX 17 server up and running for nearly a year. Recently, the daily backup notification email message went from

Subject: Backup Daily-Local-Backup success for VoIP Server
Body: See attachment (log file attached)

to

Subject: Backup Daily-Local-Backup status for VoIP Server
Body: Log file was not generated for this backup. (no attachment)

The backup file itself is created but no log file for the backup.

Anyone know what might cause this? I have cleaned up old backups, ensured free space exists, and moved the backup folder destination…everything is up to date.

Never ran into this, but wondering if running the backup manually works. And do the permissions on the destination directory look OK? (Dunno how / why they’d be changed, but always one of the first things I check in situations like yours.)

Hi @Sharpy

looks like the FreePBX logs is disabled from GUI, make sure the “Disable FreePBX Log” setting is set to NO under Advanced Settings → System Setup section.

Then run the backup again and verify the email.
