Backup Email Notification Not Working

My email is working in 16.0.47 - I get my voicemails just fine and I can email from the command line via SSH - but the email feature on the Backup Module doesn’t seem to do anything. It says it successfully sends email notifications, but I think it’s lying, or perhaps these days… “hallucinating”…

Does anyone know if there is a checkbox, parameter or other digital incantation that will get it working? It’s not a crucial thing, but it is a handy feature.

Do you think this could be a minor typo or address mismatch ? Is there something from your logs that you can scrub and share into our pastebin ?
