The subject is a bit misleading. The utility is widely used, but the contaminated one is not, as it is only in development versions of major distributions.

So Sangoma Linux releases are not affected if I am reading the article correctly?

If they were this wouldn’t be an off topic commentary LOL. A whole new set of alarms would be going off. The purpose of this post was more on the importance of code review and having many sets of eyes watching.

The exploit was caught early so it should not affect any released Linux version.
