The Asterisk team automatically creates tickets in the FreePBX issue tracker announcing new releases of Asterisk. These should have a limited life span in the issue tracker and then be closed.
@kgupta It is safe to say these tickets that are over a month old with the current releases and the past releases can be closed and just not sit open in the issue tracker.
Agreed. We will review the open Asterisk-related JIRA tickets.
The process is , once the new Asterisk version is released in FreePBX, we should close the corresponding JIRA ticket.
PS: I’ve noticed that some of the older JIRAs are still open. To prevent this, I’ll ensure that our team closes the JIRAs as soon as the new Asterisk JIRA is published to FreePBX.
I knew what you meant. My point is that Jira is not GitHub. Jira was something that was used in the past and not any longer. Referring to the issue tracker as Jira leads to confusion for those that have no idea of the history. So telling someone to open a Jira issue and then point them to GitHub can be confusing.
