After switching to version 11, asterisk fails to start with error “unable to connect to Asterisk Manager from /var/lib/asterisk/bin/retrieve_config”
Recovered using full disk backup which I made just before attempting switch.
You could try to update to FreePBX Distro 4.211.64-7 (which is actually the latest) through -5 and -6 (so via step by step update scripts) and see what will happen about your switch to Asterisk 11.

Do you have any extra module (like codec_g729)? Is so, you need to redownload the module for asterisk 11.
