Appropriate Use of AI

Over the years, some may have noticed that I have become less abrasive in my interactions. It’s possible I’ve learned social cues and other soft skills. That would be neat, but unfortunately, I’m not wired correctly. I have what some call neurospiciness, which makes interacting with others an adventure. I often use tools like About - GoblinTools to soften my tone and fix my written interactions. I also have a habit of writing disorganized diatribes, so I use AI to make my writing more focused, organized, and concise.

I believe this is a valid use of AI. However, people increasingly use AI for generic answers, which are often incorrect. Many lack the knowledge or skills to recognize these mistakes because tools like ChatGPT can hallucinate convincingly. The answers may look and sound correct, but following them can leave someone more lost than when they started.

At a minimum, follow the generated troubleshooting steps to see if they lead you in the right direction. Better yet, use them to find the right road and supply an original answer.

Building a reputation and clout based on AI alone won’t end well and won’t help anyone. Please use ChatGPT and other tools to supplement and improve your individual work, not as pure generators of hallucinated nonsense.

Thank you all for attending my TED Talk.

Instructions for Configuring the Turbo Encabulator to Work on FreePBX

Prerequisites

  1. FreePBX Version: Ensure you have FreePBX 15 or higher installed.
  2. Turbo Encabulator Firmware: Version 3.5 or later.
  3. Network Configuration: The Turbo Encabulator should be on the same network as your FreePBX server.

Step 1: Hardware Setup

  1. Connect Power: Plug the Turbo Encabulator into a power source.
  2. Network Connection: Connect the Turbo Encabulator to your network via Ethernet.

Step 2: Initial Configuration

  1. Access Device Interface:

    • Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the Turbo Encabulator.
    • Login with the default credentials (Username: admin, Password: admin123).
  2. Firmware Update:

    • Navigate to System > Firmware Update.
    • Upload the latest firmware file and follow the on-screen instructions to update.

Step 3: Configuring the Turbo Encabulator

  1. Network Settings:

    • Go to Settings > Network.
    • Set the IP address to static and ensure it is within the same subnet as the FreePBX server.
  2. Synchronous Phase Modulator Adjustment:

    • Navigate to Settings > Modulator.
    • Adjust the Dingle Arm Ratio to 47 degrees to ensure proper alignment with FreePBX’s processing unit.
    • Set the Cardinal Grammeter to 250 μmhos to reduce latent hysteresis.
  3. VLAN Tagging:

    • Enable VLAN tagging under Network Settings.
    • Set the VLAN ID to 42.

Step 4: Integration with FreePBX

  1. Module Installation:

    • Log in to the FreePBX admin interface.
    • Go to Admin > Module Admin.
    • Click on Upload Module and upload the Turbo Encabulator FreePBX integration module (turbo_encabulator_integration.tar.gz).
  2. Module Configuration:

    • After installing, navigate to Applications > Turbo Encabulator.
    • Enter the IP address of the Turbo Encabulator.
    • Configure the Rotational Vector Synchronizer to 3000 RPM for optimal performance.
  3. Enabling Quantum Flux Capacitor:

    • Within the Turbo Encabulator settings in FreePBX, enable the Quantum Flux Capacitor.
    • Set the Capacitor Charge Rate to 0.8 Tesla for proper synchronization with FreePBX.

Step 5: Testing and Validation

  1. System Reboot:

    • Reboot both the Turbo Encabulator and the FreePBX server to apply changes.
  2. Call Testing:

    • Make test calls to ensure that the Turbo Encabulator is properly interfaced with FreePBX.
    • Verify that there is no phase distortion and that the signal quality is optimal.
  3. Monitor Logs:

    • Check the FreePBX and Turbo Encabulator logs for any errors.
    • Adjust settings as necessary based on the log outputs.

Troubleshooting

  • If calls are dropping, verify the Dingle Arm Ratio and ensure it is correctly set.
  • Ensure that the VLAN tagging matches on both devices.
  • Check for any firmware updates for both the Turbo Encabulator and FreePBX module.

By following these steps, the Turbo Encabulator should be fully operational with your FreePBX setup.

First giveaway is well formed ‘markdown’ so if anyone tries to b.s us she should have the engine remove such formatting, if it still sounds like AI however, many here will notice immediately,

(I still like the conversations I have had with them about whether 10000-20000 is a good range for rtp ports  )

You realize do you that you can just copy and paste that answer into ChatGPT along with the question of “were these instructions written by AI” and get a yes?

It shouldn’t take too much work for someone to create a Wordpress plugin that will feed every post into ChatGPT and delete them if ChatGPT says they were written by ChatGPT.

But the reason that you won’t ever see such a plugin is that 99% of the websites out there are just attempting to spam the search engines to drive clicks to them so they can make money from ad revenue. So they would never use such a plugin. That’s what AI is really all about is it’s one more attempt to make search engines useless.
