app_rxfax.c, app_txfax.c & apps_makefile.patch not available @ soft-switch.org - not longer needed?

I tried to install FreePBX 2.4 like described in INSTALL file from the tar.gz package.

In this file you find the following part:

Copy the following files (from soft-switch.org) to /usr/src/asterisk/apps/ :

- cp app_rxfax.c /usr/src/asterisk/apps/
- cp app_txfax.c /usr/src/asterisk/apps/
- cp apps_makefile.patch /usr/src/asterisk/apps/

- cd /usr/src/asterisk/apps
- patch < apps_makefile.patch 

These files ar not longer available @ soft-switch.org.

Is this part of the install depraced?

Is this patch not needed anymore?

If i need the files, where can i get it?

I just skipped this part. No problems until now
