API for non distro

Hi,

Im using a non distro freepbx v12, Now how can I enable or configure an api to use for me to use to interact with my crm. Please advise!

FreePBX 12 is end of life.
Hard to get proper support.

You better upgrade to 14.

With version 12 being EOL, getting something that works is going to be your challenge. You’ll be installing unsupported versions of the interface to an unsupported version of the PBX. Not a great place to start, especially if you are a beginner.

The good news is that there are lots of PHP and PERL interfaces you can use to drive AMI and AGI (which I think is either going away or gone) so that you can write a custom CRM interface.

Asterisk, by itself, has no API in the normal sense without adding additional software.

It’s of no help on your existing system, but if you set up a current Distro system, you can use the paid CRM module to provide an API:
