I have installed Free PBX instance on amazon cloud and i got it all up and running and it functions fine. I also have an Asterisk Instance that i installed first.
Does anyone know if i need both to run Free PBX properly. And also does anyone have any experience with bandwidth cost involved for a PBX in the amazon cloud anyway to estimate that.
Without Asterisk you have no PBX… Ideally they would be in the same instance. As for cost, it depends on usage. I have never run anything on EC2 for more than a few hours at a time so I can not say. I would imaging that one of the VPS providers like Lylix might be cheaper in the long run. That and they provide timing.
