All Circuits Busy Error

I am getting a strange error with “All Circuits Busy”. If I dial a local areacode… the calls always seem to go through, but when I dial a long distance number, I almost always (but not always) get an “all circuits busy” error.

Here is my Trunk Dialing Rules

1+NXXXXXXXXX
1403+XXXXXXX

where 403 is my local areacode

I am trying to dail to 250

any thoughts?

without a call trace it’s wild guess time. It doesn’t like something in our outbound routes.

So go into the asterisk cli and type: set verbose 5
then make a call and when you get the error copy from the last line outout until you see the call start and post it here for us to look at.

is it possible that not enough system resources could cause this behavior? I am just testing the software so I have put it on a computer that isn’t very powerful.
