Add pause or rings when blind transferring to voicemail

When doing a blind transfer to the voicemail of another extension, the greeting starts playing and I can complete the transfer, but that means the caller misses the first few seconds of the voicemail greeting.

Is there a way to make the voicemail ring a few times before the greeting begins so I can finish the transfer and the caller hears the entire greeting?

  1. how are you going the transfer (using ##)? if you do a blind transfer you should not hear anything.
  2. have the user pause before starting their voice mail greeting. a simple 1 second of silence should be plenty.
