Would it be possible to create a template for a SIP extension so that certain settings are always the same. For example settings are the same for everyone except for the password and Email address.
Additionally or maybe in addition to or another option, is it possible to make certain fields in the extension page required?
I tend to use the bulk upload facility for this. What you can do is to do a bulk download of the extensions on the system to get the csv fields correct and then every time you want to create a new group of extensions create them in a spreadsheet with all of the correct fields populated and then save as a csv file before doing the bulk upload to setup the new extensions.
