24 hour call, large bill. how to prevent?


We a call last week then went over 24 hours. It landed in our voicemail system. We never received a voicemail message which was 24 hours in length, but it seems the truck did hang up that long and spiked out bill.

The provider was kind and reversed the charges, but looking to somehow prevent this from happening again. We have implemented 300 second timeout on voicemail messages. Anything else we should do?



That’s the best fix. This is default in new installs as well. But requires actually going into voicemail admin and saving. Not an ideal situation.
