Upgrade Scripts also update FreePBX Distro OS?

I can’t seem to find this information on the wiki or the forum.

When you run the upgrade scripts, do they also do any CentOS updates? Such as security patches to the kernel and/or packages?

Update scripts update the the FreePBX Distro. The scripts are built for the FreePBX Distro and will not work on a CentOS install

Sorry, I should not have said CentOS. I meant the FreePBX Distro. Do the scripts update the underlying OS or just FreePBX, etc.?
