Thanks! Issue fixed, no errors now
Thanks, worked like a charm.
Out of curiosity, what was this caused by?
Hi tm1000,
I sorry to say but your proove of āEverything is fineā is in reality not fine
B/c the freeobx seems to check for mirror1 and mirror2
āError retrieving updates from online repository(s)
(http://mirror1.freepbx.org,http://mirror2.freepbx.org). Online modules
are not available.ā
Marcc what is your point?
I was having the same trouble. Noting that I am running the FreePBX distro.
Thanks for the fix; it worked for me!
The point is that even if I can load the modules.xml Iām still having the above problems.+Most of my modules are 12.x, some are still 2.x.
Should I be using this commands ?
/var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 1 && amportal a ma upgrade framework && /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 0
Yes you should use those commands to resolve this issue.
Ok, and why are some modules still 2.11 ?
But I was able to update two other pending modules.
I also have this issue after attempting to update 2 days ago.
The stated fix is not working for me though. I continue to receive the same error.
root@pbx:~ $ /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 1 && amportal a ma upgrade framework && /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 0
trying to run as user asterisk:
[MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE] changed from previous value: [0] to new value: [1]
Please waitā¦
The following error(s) occured:
- Retrieved Module XML Was Empty
root@pbx:~ $
Just run the single command:
/var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 1
Then go check online
Ok I tried that, received the same error. I just got it to work though.
After I received the error a few days ago and was trying to fix it, previous occurrences of this issue posted on the forums said it might be due to using DHCP versus a static IP address, and I had been using static DHCP.
After setting the skip cache to 1 and then changing my network settings BACK to using DHCP, it worked.
Thank you for the assistance. System can now receive phone calls.
FreePBX 12.0.31
After upgrade to PBX Firmware 5.211.65-21 i cannot upgrade modules in Module Admin.
āCheck Onlineā button show new modules
but after pressing āProcessā button, i get error:
āWarning: Error retrieving updates from online repository(s) (http://mirror1.freepbx.org,http://mirror2.freepbx.org). Online modules are not available.ā
Iām seeing the same problem on all of my FreePBX servers. I have them configured to use WGET in the advanced settings and still have the problem. I have both installations behind SonicWall firewalls and have followed the recommended steps to disable āEnforce Host Tag Search for CFSā on both firewalls. Still having the same problem.
Thanks Andrew, that fixed my problem.
