Outbound CID shows up as internal extension

Having an issue where the internal ext# like 205 are showing up on outbound CID instead of the actual phone number set in the trunk for Outbound CallerID.
I have tried , number, “name” all with the same results.
Appears to be limited to cellphones.
Land lines appear to be fine.

Any ideas?

What number do you have in the outbound caller ID of that extension?

All ext outbound CID are blank.

Put the desired caller ID Setting in the extension setup, also
take a look at the Caller ID settings in the Trunk Setup.

Improper settings on either of these could cause your problem.

Let me clarify…I’m referring to the options in the dropdown box in trunk settings.

I thought I tried in the trunk but I must not have as this works.
So the hierarchy is trunk-outbound route-extension?

I should clarify in Outbound CID I entered “name”
All that was there before was number.

You can only send your caller ID number. The database that lines up caller ID with names has to be updated for the CID name information to change. This database is managed on behalf of service providers so whoever you get your DID’s from should have CNAME service.
