No Freepbx Web Access

Hello,

I have to administrate an Elastix 2.3.0 (Asterisk 1.8.12) server, and apparently the incoming/outgoing phone calls seem to be ok.
However I have a FreePbx version problem which has already been mentionned in some topics.
FrePBX web interface shows me that version 2.9.0.12 is installed (FreePBX 2.9.0.12 on MYSERVERIP).

As I am in production environment, I would like some advice on my chances to “upgrade” (I should say downgrade) modules from 2.9.X.X to 2.8.X.X.
Will the five Third party Addons below be still functionnal
Custom Contexts 2.9.0.0 Enabled
Customer DB 2.5.0.4 Enabled
Gabcast 2.5.0.2 Enabled
Inventory 2.5.0.2 Enabled
Set CallerID 2.9.0.1 Enabled

What is better if I want to retrieve access to pbx settings, via either Elastix (https://MYSERVERIP:4443/index.php?menu=pbxconfig) actually Warning me “No active FreePBX modules found. Please enable Unembedded FreePBX for troubleshooting.” or FreePBX (https://myserverip/admin) I do not yet have any functionnal web interface, in Elastix or FreePBX.

Various Info :

Hereafter is the list of pbx modules.

Wow, your system is a mess. How did you get the verion numbers wrong?

Have you been editing the DB?

Also not sure what to tell you about Elastix, you should check with. Them.

The thing is that I just started administering this server anf don’t know much how it was managed beofere.

I guess something like a “yum update” or “rpm -i freepbx-2.9-XXXX.rpm” was killed and so it installed partially.

But you guys that use FreePBX Web UI, you probably know how to fix the web issue ?

Also I did not edit the DB.
I Wanted to but could not find any info.
I heard about a table “amdin” that I never found.

You notice the version number in the updates is lower than the running version. Something has been messed with.

You normally upgrade the FreePBX with the module Admin. Depending on how you installed Asterisk and FreePBX dictates how you update Asterisk, Linux Kernel etc.

I need to know how this system was installed (from one of the distro’s or on a bare metal Linux machine) and what versions. You probably created some kind of PHP conflict.

Have you checked your webserver log for erros?

Scott, it was actually Elastix that did the messing.

Elastix does not distribute a regular FreePBX, they hack it to pieces and repackage it. Moving past 2.8 on any Elastix box will hose it as you have seen seen happen.

No known fix but restore from a known backup.

Sure dicko that is clear.
Indeed dicko it’s Elastix. Moreover I could finally get the colleague who installed this VOIP box, and he told me he used an iso he had moreover to tweak. However the tweak I guess concerned boot problems on an hp micro-server, and thus not for purpose here.

I suggest that to the well known nursery rhyme we should all be aware of here:-

“Bah, Bah lime green sheep . . .”

we add:-

“Bah, Bah orange sheep . . .”

I will mention no names here to protect the guilty :-).

Good Luck.
