I am looking for a solution that will allow me to send faxes by sending an email with pdf attachment and then having the fax go out. I have found the Fax Pro will send faxes but it seems to only do so from the UCP and I need to be able to do it from an email to integrate with some website setups. Currently we use a program called Faxmaker but we are trying to see if we can get away from that and use the freepbx system.
We have not added this due to patents held on that concept.
But there doesn’t seem to be any products out there anymore that can do this. Everything I can find is from years ago and no longer exists. Unless someone knows of one that will do that.
That is the fun thing about patents. There is no requirement that the patent holder actually produces anything. They can simply patent an idea and sit on it until someone else produces something then sue for patent violations.
