Create UCP users from existing extension list

I’ve got an import list of ~200 extensions, and would like to build UCP (user manager? what should I be calling them?) users for the majority of them. I’ve been doing it by hand, by going into each extension and clicking “create new linked user”. I’ve looked at the user manager hooks, but havent had a chance to get into the bulk extension import module to see if I can add it myself. Anyone found a better way to do this?
