I’m Giuseppe Careri, a software engineer and voice technology enthusiast from Italy. I’ve been working with Asterisk for over 15 years, building voice applications and integrations for contact centers, startups, and enterprise systems.

I’m the creator and maintainer of AgentVoiceResponse, an open-source project that connects Asterisk to modern Conversational AI pipelines using real-time audio via res_audiosocket. I recently presented this solution at AstriCon 2025, showcasing how Asterisk can power intelligent voice agents using STT, LLMs, and TTS technologies.
