Zulu - Could not connect to server

FreePBX 13.0.195.5
Asterisk 14.7.5
Zulu 13.0.54.31.2
Zulu 3 client on Windows 7 PC

I have a Zulu user already setup, when I try to login to the user on the Zulu client, I get a “Could not connect to the server” screen. When I look at the Zulu module from my FreePBX GUI, under the active connections tab, I see an entry for my user at the time I tried to login, suggesting that the connection was successful.

I found the local Zulu log under:

Nothing is sticking out like a problem. Any ideas?

I opened a ticket, so we will see what Sangoma says. But it seems to be happening to all my servers (mix of 13 & 14).

All the same issue.

@comtech - is that a bug ticket that we are able to see? I believe we are having the same issue. Zulu 2 still connects/functions as far as I can tell at the moment, but Zulu 3 fails to connect. My log looks nearly identical to yours.

Not a bug ticket yet, just a support ticket. They are troubleshooting with me now. I’ll keep this thread updated as we go.

I had the same issue, got support into my system to look at it, says everything is configured correctly and to try again. IT WORKS!! Says nothing was changed but something obviously has. Now to try and figure out how to get FOP2 to show when a Zulu extension is actually in use.

I think there is a extra extension created when using Zulu, something like 99 and the extension number. That’s the Zulu phone. Look in the asterisk info section.

Has there been any progress on this for you? It’s not a critical issue for us since I’m just making everyone stick to Zulu 2 for now, but it’d be nice to get off my to-do list.

For anyone having issues with Zulu connecting to the server can you please open a commercial module ticket for our support team to take a look at. You can do that by visting support.sangoma.com and selecting the Commercial Module department.

It seemed to be a desktop firewall issue (SOPHOS). At first it didn’t look like the desktop was blocking, but when we disabled SOPHOS it connected! We thought there was a port blocking issue, but before we made any changes to the firewall, we enabled SOPHOS and it continued to work! Not sure what the issue was, but SOPHOS didn’t like something about the initial connection.
