I was able to use incoming routing with CID to route Channel 4 for example for certain CID to voice mail for example. In fact there are several routes in the config’s. However I attempt to create another one and now freepbx complains that CID routing is for this:
“DID Number and CID Number must be blank when use for zap channel routing”
nope it has always been that (although there were some bugs keeping the javascript popup from coming until recent). It will ignore the did and cid. I do have a change which will be forth coming to allow channel+cid routing though, as a stop gap until making a better interface that just lets you assign DID’s to channels and then you would use normal routing after that.

While you are coding in the area, may I suggest adding to “Terminating Call” functions one called “Ring Forever” in incoming routes. It might be a better choice for some types of calls
This area is not really related to having a choice to play ringing however the feature request was made by someone recently and will make it in as soon as I commit it as it is a very easy addition.
