Yum Update Transaction Error!

Hello,

I’m getting the following error:

file /usr/lib64/python3.6/dbm/pycache/ndbm.cpython-36.opt-2.pyc from install of python3-libs-3.6.8-13.el7.x86_64 conflicts with file from package python36u-libs-3.6.7-1.ius.centos7.x86_64
file /usr/lib64/python3.6/dbm/pycache/ndbm.cpython-36.pyc from install of python3-libs-3.6.8-13.el7.x86_64 conflicts with file from package

Any ideas a work around this issue?

Thanks!

Try to update your repos with

yum clean all
yum update sangoma-release

Then see if you continue to have the transaction problem.
Edit: Fixed typo in sangoma-release, my dash was removed by formatting for some reason :\

No luck here is the result:

There is another application using yum at this time, youll either need to wait for it to finish or kill it off manually (kill -9 4506)

After running yum update sangoma-release:

this was after you upgraded sangoma-release or did it not need an update?

You have some non-distro package installed that is using the ius repo. That repo is not native.

Aside from the repo zerotier this is what you should see with the command yum repolist enabled

@sorvani this has happened to me before without any non distro repos setup for this exact package, I cant remember how I fixed it but I believe it had something to do with the sng repos, but fixing it was so minor that I’ve completely forgotten how to fix it. I know it says IUS but for some reason it was in the repo at some point in time. If you google search that package and freepbx you’ll see a few other threads on this issue. Looking at the packages included in SNG7-FPBX-64bit-1904-2 it seems that python36u-libs-3.6.7-1.ius.centos7.x86_64 was included for whatever reason.

Yes that is correct:

Still not sure how to resolve this problem.

No Upgrade Needed…

I found a machine today that has the same package on it and am working on getting it upgraded, I can confirm it is from the sng repo

[root@freepbx ~]# yum info python36u-libs-3.6.7-1.ius.centos7.x86_64

Installed Packages
Name : python36u-libs
Arch : x86_64
Version : 3.6.7
Release : 1.ius.centos7
Size : 40 M
Repo : installed
From repo : sng-pkgs
Summary : Python runtime libraries
URL : https://www.python.org/
License : Python
Description : This package contains runtime libraries for use by Python:
: - the majority of the Python standard library
: - a dynamically linked library for use by applications that embed Python as
: a scripting language, and by the main "python3" executable

Strangely I had no issue updating this machine though so now I’m at a loss here unless I can find one that has the same issue again.
