Yum update on High Availability cluster

What is the correct procedure doing a yum update on FreePBX High Availability machines?

Is it identical to the one when performing a major Asterisk upgrade (provided by Igaetz):

“Put inactive node in standby and run asterisk-version-switch on active node. Take inactive node out of standby, failover and do the same again.”

There is a possibility that a ‘yum upgrade’ will update the kernel, which will require a reboot. So I would amend the procedure slightly to include a reboot of the inactive node.
