I found that the url is incorrect as the current location for this should be http://yum.freepbxdistro.org/pbx/1.8.x.x/i386/RPMS/flite/1.3-11/flite-1.3-11.el5.i386.rpm

I did an rpm -Uvh http://yum.freepbxdistro.org/pbx/1.8.x.x/i386/RPMS/flite/1.3-11/flite-1.3-11.el5.i386.rpm which updated the package and rebooted. I then did another yum update and it errors out with a depsolve for php needing (installed) zend-optimizer 3.3…

I then reverted back to the package version flite-1.3-9.i386.rpm, but this brings me back to the top of my post with flite failing due to the wrong location or rather maybe it is supposed to fail because of the zend optimizer support for version 2.9 in which case the repo shouldn’t include this update.

Well we do not advise doing blind yum updates. The update scripts here do them in the correct order and take you to each new version.

What version of the Distro are you using?

Follow the guide here to do a proper update

The distro version was 1.8.2.0-2 but I used the upgrade scripts to upgrade to the newest release. Thanks for your help, I must of overlooked the upgrade release section because I have only ever used yum to upgrade this distro.

Yes which would never really upgrade it much since each release has their own repos so you can only get updates for that release which means very little would ever get upgraded without using our scripts.
