Will this phone work with FreePBX

Hello All,

Just looking at which phones to purchase and would like any input you have. Right now I’m looking at the Grandstream GXP2200 Enterprise Multimedia IP Phone for Android. Cost is a little over $200 (with shipping). I would like to stay within that price point.

If this won’t work, could someone send me some suggestions? Here’s what I would like to have:

  1. Color touch screen display
  2. Dual POE ethernet ports
  3. Good quality HD sound
  4. Pretty straight forward setup / config (I’m still a FreePBX newbie)

Actually the Aastra 6739i meets those requirements and is very easy to setup, the 57i is not color, nor Gig, nor touchscreen.

The Grandstream, being an Android device, tickled the geek in all of us at the Astricon convention however since we have little real world experience considering the OP’s level of experience I am not sure he wants to take the road less traveled.

But, if you decide you don’t like it, go with the Aastra 6757i, with firmware 2.6, which was PIAF/Ward’s favorite before the Grandstream Android came out…
