Will FreePBX work with CentOS 6.2?

Anyone running FreePBX 2.9/2.10 with CentOS 6.2 in production?

The other distribution has standardized on Centos 6.2, I am sure there are many in a production environment. Digium’s website still states that Digium support is only for Centos 4 or 5.

I know PIAF is using it and Tom says it works well. In the past when I have tried it I always had little issues but its been a month or 2 the last time I tried.

We plan on offering a 6.2 ISO this summer but still perfecting the upgrade path from Centos 5.x to 6.x. It works in the labs but that is as far as I have had time to work on it. No point is having a new system that older versions can not upgrade to.

Hello,

I am running 5 virtual systems on XenServer with CentOS 6.2 (64 bit)

CentOS 6.2 (64)
Asterisk 1.8.10.1
FreePBX 2.10
Monast 3.0b4
MPG123 for streaming MOH
ICES 2.0.1 for streaming calls to Icecast

one plus is 6 doesn’t install everything under the sun like previous versions.
absolutely solid, and compared to vm’s on CentOS 5.x it uses much less ram.
on most customer PBX’s with 25-30 extensions and medium call volume 5.8 used 1 gig consistently and 6.2 is using 700MB
The best performance I have yet seen. I have had old timers tell me that its just as fast as analog for dialing now. Its funny cause normally the only time I hear anything is when people complain but I have had a half dozen compliments since going to 6!

I am working on switching all of the rest to 6.2 now
