Which Hardware should I buy

A little about our company. We are using Freepbx 13, we have about 50 extensions with not a lot of usage. I have been looking at Sangoma FreePBX 100 at price around $1200 suggested. But to me it looks ok and I know it is certified for freepbx, but not a lot of bang for your buck.

Then I looked at this HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen9 E3-1240 V5 LFF US Server (830698-S01) at newegg for around $750. I might have to add another nic card. I only need 3 ports.

More bang for your buck and HP is a good brand.

I will buy 2 of which ever because I want to use HA. I dont wish to use Advanced Recovery module if possible.

What do you think?

Thanks,

If you want to use HA then you will not be on a supported version of FreePBX so support is no longer a factor in your decision.

Thanks James.

I have just purchased two Sangoma FreePBX Appliance 100 boxes. I want to install the latest version of freepbx. I did not buy any extra support etc.

If HA is possible with this setup then thats great. If I have to keep one as a secondary server except with a different IP, then change IP when the primary goes down I can do that too.

As far as I know HA is not a thing any longer. Your options are either Advance Recovery Module or a Warm Spare backup.
