I always activate my PBXes (when also a 25$ sysadmin module should be a must-have).
What are major limitations (mainly in functionality) in an unactivated system ?
No ability to use the sysadmin module or any commercial modules. It is essentially just the open source version then.
As Bill says, no commercial module features, some of which are free. It’s also a requirement for getting support from Sangoma, should that be something you ever want to rely on.
