I just wanted to give everyone a warning of what happened to me after the 10.13.66-15 update because of a permissions issue.
After running the update script to get FreePBX distro to the latest, the userman temp directory permissions were bad, causing active directory sync to fail. Instead of just failing and leaving the existing groups and group settings alone, the sync fully deleted all of my groups and group settings.
If you’re using active directory sync, the best way to protect yourself from this problem is to run;
fwconsole chown
immediately after the upgrade. This sets the proper permissions and allows the AD sync to work properly.
Here’s a ticket I opened on the issue: http://issues.freepbx.org/browse/FREEPBX-12953 perhaps the development team will see fit for the userman sync to be a little less “delete-happy” when it runs into a permissions issue
