VPN and remote networks no audio

hi all , and good day ,

i’m having a very annoying issues with elastix PBX servers. here is the setup I have :
total of two server and five offices
PBX server at office ( A ) with static IP and local IP and its connected to another PBX server at site ( B ) ( local IP ) with IAX tunnel and VPN tunnel.
Office ( A ) SIP phones connected to Office ( A ) PBX server either using static IP or locally
Office ( B ) SIP phones connected to Office ( B ) PBX server locally
Office (C, D, E and F) SIP phones connected to Office ( B ) PBX server using the VPN tunnel.
all VPN tunnels are created using RV042 VPN routers
and all SIP phones are registered successfully.

all other offices are connected to Office ( B ) using VPN tunnels to PBX ( B )

the issue is that when offices (C , D, E and F) SIP phone calles office ( A or B ) both ends can’t hear each other while calls between office ( A ) and ( B ) are ok and voice clear!!!

I hope that I give all the details needed PLEASE HELP. i’m trying for three days and googled the problem reaching a dead end.

Please help.

thanks

Configure your VPN’s in the localnet. If you have been reading for days I don’t know how you could have missed the sip settings section of the wiki

what do u mean by configuring The VPN to localnet.
if you mean that i can ping or access other end network ??? yes i can …

if not please advice :slight_smile:

thanks

First a per peeve. You don’t advice, advice is a noun advise is a verb. You can ask for advice or ask me to advise you. “please advice” means nothing.

Each LAN that is on a connected interface such as a VPN or and routed connection needs to be explicitly defined in the localnet fields in sip settings.

First i would like to thank you really thank you for the english tip.

and if you mean that i have to add the localnet in the sip_nat configuration file , i already did, and here a copy of that file for both servers.

Office A :
nat=yes
externip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
externip=192.168.1.100
localnet=192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0
localnet=192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0
localnet=192.168.100.0/255.255.255.0
localnet=192.168.200.0/255.255.255.0
localnet=192.168.20.0/255.255.255.0
localnet=192.168.50.0/255.255.255.0
externrefresh=10

Office B :
nat=yes
externip=192.168.2.200
localnet=192.168.60.0/255.255.255.0
localnet=192.168.100.0/255.255.255.0
externrefresh=10

and they are the same local networks at each site .

should i add the dyndsn domains also ???

thanks

You can add those settings via sip_sttings module in FreePBX. That should be all you have to do. Make sure you don’t have any SIP alg’s running on the VPN routers.

Verify your localnets with the asterisk ‘sip show settings’ command.

i’m very thankful to you,
finally its working :slight_smile:

So what was final problem? It is helpful as this thread will be searched many times.

I also took the liberty of editing the title.

it was nat issues within the elastix .
again i’m very thankful.
