VOIP vendor does not provide config for 'FreePBX 2.9.0.7'

Our small business is currently running “trixbox Pro EE v4.1.2-p25,” and is supported by our VOIP provider. We plan to switch to ‘FreePBX 2.9.0.7,’ but our vendor will not support it, nor do they have documentation on it for configuring our trunk. I have the config for our current setup, but the distro we want to move to (FreePBX 2.9.0.7) has a totally different config interface. What is the best way to go about this?

FYI…

AsteriskNOW 1.7.0 and FreePBX 2.9.0.7 (to be exact)

Start by doing some reading:

http://www.freepbx.org/support/documentation/howtos/howto-setting-up-voip-provider-trunks

Once you have done that you should be able to work out what to do, sometimes a bit of trial and error is required but there is rarely much of a problem to get sip trunks to work regardless of provider.

If you can’t work it out after experimenting the best thing to do is invest in a little paid support from right here to get it sorted out, there is no doubt that if it works with TrixboxPro its got to work with FreePbx, both drive the Asterisk PBX.

By the way, if your not in production yet I would load the Free PBX Distro from this site, it is more up to date than AsteriskNow and very well supported.
