Voicemail messages missing

Hello,

Since our upgrade to FPBX13, I have been getting complaints that voice mail messages go missing for a time. I was able to replicate this yesterday:

I call to check messages.
Comedian mail indicates that I have four.
I am able to retrieve 3.
On the second call I can retrieve the fourth; the fourth was actually message #3 of the four messages.

I am unsure how FPBX counts these and finds voicemail messages, but I am wondering if there is some kind of voicemail data audit that can be done to reset things to where they should be.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Look for a lock file in the INBOX if that extension , if there delete it.

If it was there then the way comedian mail reorders the msg000x files will fail until it goes away so the count and availability might be off.

Thanks for your help! I am not seeing any lock file when I look through the directories recursively. I am attaching the files that I see in this customer’s directory…

and the INBOX directory?

Using the ls command, it is empty, with no files or directories.

Then at this point in time you have no unread vmails.

for how you can personalize the behavior see :-

maybe add “backupdeleted=9999”

but if as I said , you had a lock file (an inordinately long voicemail being recorded for example , see the 800 long message scam) at some point in time then . . . . .
