VoiceMail-2-E-Mail - wrong caller ID on the E-Mail, and Scribe bypassed

Got an E-Mail forwarded to me from a client that uses Scribe to transcribe their VoiceMail’s - there was no transcription, and listening to the message, it was from a different number than what was in the header of the VoiceMail - and the CDR’s show the call coming from that number going to the VoiceMail for a different extension entirely!

So…

  1. Why is it showing the wrong CallerID?

  2. Why was it not transcribed?

  3. Why is the attached VoiceMail not from the CID reflected in the E-Mail?

I have seen this happen exactly once about 8 years ago (except no Scribe) but my client is really wondering why FreePBX has lost it’s mind.

The message was PHI, so I can’t attach a copy or screenshot, but it is messed up as above.

Anyone else seen something like this?

Was this voicemail forwarded from one internal user to another while they were listening to the message (and pressed 8) ?

Are there some (heavily redacted) call flow logs you can upload to pastebin.freepbx.org ?

No it was not forwarded - It was left by the Caller - the CDR’s show that caller leaving a message, but like I said, the header information in the E-Mail that was sent doesn’t match the recording at all - and transcription was not even attempted.

We know the proper caller id based on the recording, and can see this message being left by that caller in the CDR’s, but the E-Mail is for a different message and caller, and no transcription was done.
