I have used the Natural Voice program to create WAV and MP3 files for asterisk to use in its system recordings. I realized that there is no method via the FreePBX GUI to upload announcements for General Voice Mail boxes, so I did it via the CLI and just renamed the Greeting.mp3 file to unavail.mp3. This worked but the message is so faint you can hardly hear it. The default FREEPBX voice is so much louder. Is there a way to normalize this?
Is it an 8 bit 8000 Hz Mono file?
No, it is an MP3 file that is faint. I was under the impression asterisk can use MP3 as well. Is this not correct?
