Using old house lanline phones with freepbx

How could I use an old lanline phone with freepbx as an extension? I have random phone pcie adapters, could I hook it up?

How does it work, can I use it on another pc and not plugged into the freepbx server

You buy an FXS… that plugs into your network and gets configured as an extension then you plug your old phone into the Cat3 phone jack on the FXS
