Using Backup/Restore between FreePBX distro and the AWS/EC2 instance

Hello,

I have recently set up the FreePBX from the iso image (CentOS 6.4 + FreePBX 2.11) and I’ve noticed that the admin menu looks a lot different from the EC2 instance running FreePBX 2.11 which lead me to my question.

Can I restore the settings on my new installation using the backup file made by PIAF-Green running in an instance on EC2?

Thanks!

I didn’t realize that PIAF and FreePBX are not quite the same thing since I’ve asked the question and I did find the post about broken modules and how to unbreak them.
Any other issues I might face when restoring PIAF backup onto FreePBX install?

I don’t think so, but you may want to ask in the PBXiaf forum. It’s hard enough to keep up with our own distro.

We have a section for FreePBX support in our forum if you have questions about FreePBX (dial plans, trunks, things IVR like that)

FreePBX is the actual engine that turns Asterisk into the most powerful PBX in the world. The FreePBX distro and PBX in a Flash are full distributions of an operating system, CentOS and all the other programs required to make it work.

Good luck
