We are currently sitting on 2.9.0.15 and interested in updating to at least 2.11 to fix some issues with FreePBX and FOP2. We have some 3rd party apps that we use frequently and with the UI changes wanted to make sure we would not lose the ability to use them. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I’m not sure I understand the question, or (for that matter) if there was one.
FreePBX runs “over” Asterisk and manages it. Are your third-party apps FreePBX apps or are they Asterisk apps? If they are Asterisk apps, the interfaces that change will be at the Asterisk level (and there are a few consequential changes there). Check to see which version of Asterisk you are planning to upgrade to and make sure your apps have version interfaces for that Asterisk version. That should get you pretty close to knowing the likelihood of success.
