Upgrade Asterisk

Hi

I have a centos box with a manually installed asterisk 10.12.2 and FreePBX 2.10.

Is there a way to upgrade asterisk without touching FreePBX?

Just manually install the version of asterisk you want, FreePBX will be quite happy.

thank you for the reply. But do i somehow have to delete the current version? or when i do a make clean and ./configure on the new version it will overwrite the old?

When you get to the make install it will bitch about old incompatible libraries unless you delete them first

rm -rf /usr/lib(64)/asterisk/modules/*
